JBAY surveyed 598 youth aged 18 to 24 from across California who have been in foster care or experienced homelessness. The purpose of the current analysis is to understand the cumulative impact of the pandemic on these two groups of young people in California. They started the pandemic facing a steep uphill climb in their transition to adulthood, and over the last 12 months, the climb has gotten steeper as they have struggled to maintain access to housing, food, employment and education.
